Soap star Matt Lapinskas and wife expecting first child

Former EastEnders star Matt Lapinskas has announced he and his wife are set to become parents for the first time, adding: “Our little miracle is finally on the way.”

The 37-year-old actor, who played Anthony Moon in the BBC soap from 2011 to 2012, shared a video with his actress wife Karina Hind in which they revealed their family is “growing by one”.

The post, which was shared to Instagram on Tuesday, featured Hind linking hands with her husband, who was wearing white baby boots on his fingers, before revealing a picture of their baby scan.

“Our greatest role yet… coming 2027,” he wrote in the caption.

“After a long time hoping, dreaming and wishing for this moment, our little miracle is finally on the way.

“Our hearts are completely full, and we feel incredibly blessed to be stepping into our new roles as mum and dad.

“Life has always been an adventure, but this next chapter is one we’ve dreamed of more than anything.

“We can’t wait to meet you, little one.

“The Lapinskas family is growing by one.

The couple received congratulations and well-wishes in response from stars including singer-songwriter Antony Costa and Tony Discipline, who played Lapinskas’s on-screen brother in Albert Square, Tyler Moon.

Lapinskas and Hind announced their engagement in 2024 in a photo from a holiday in Dubai, and they married last May.

Lapinskas rose to fame on EastEnders and since leaving Albert Square he has appeared on shows including ITV’s Dancing On Ice, where he finished second alongside his professional skating partner Brianne Delcourt.

He has also featured on Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, and appeared in films such as Dead Ringer and The Seven.

Hind works as a stage actress and has appeared in West End shows such as Matilda The Musical and Mamma Mia!.
