Kylie Jenner says paparazzi were ‘diabolical’ to her when she was a child

Kylie Jenner has said paparazzi were “diabolical” to her when she was a child and would say “inappropriate” things.

Jenner, 28, is the youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner family, best known for appearing in the reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians and for her make-up brand Kylie Cosmetics.

Speaking on the Therapuss podcast with Jake Shane, Jenner said the paparazzi do not wait outside her house any more because she rarely leaves when she is in Los Angeles, adding that it was especially bad when she was 16.

She said: “It used to be so insane. I don’t even know how I’m like a normal person right now.

“The things that they would say to me and how they would treat me as a child is diabolical. Like inappropriate – I would be coming out of a thing and they’d be like, ‘you f***ing slut’. When I was 16.

“I would never try to give them a photo, so I would just jump in the car and then there would be, like, six of them, and they would stand in front of my car.

“I was 16, turning my car on and they would all stand out, and they would just like mock me. They wanted to just make more money off a scandalous photo.

“I was an underage girl by herself. I didn’t have security till after I had my daughter, because I really wanted to not have security. I wanted to be normal. I wanted to be with my friends. I wanted to be on my own in the world.

“It was scary at times.”

The star has two children, Stormi, eight, and Aire, four, with her ex-boyfriend, rapper Travis Scott, and said she was “really scared” to tell her mother Kris Jenner that she was pregnant at 19.

She said: “I’ve entered a different stage of motherhood.

“I have an eight-year-old. She’s (almost) my age when we started Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

“I remember when I had her and I used to be like, ‘I’m gonna be 28 with an eight-year-old’.”

Jenner added that she was “freaking out” when she found out she was pregnant at 19.

She said: “I was really scared to tell my parents but there was something just inside of me that knew that I wanted to do this.

“I had to make a decision for myself like, ‘what do I really want? What can I handle?’

“And then I told my mom. No-one was, like, angry at me.”

Jenner is currently dating Marty Supreme actor Timothee Chalamet, with the pair making headlines across awards season for their public appearances together, having previously kept their romance mostly private.

She recently also took on an acting role, portraying herself, in Charli XCX’s The Moment.
