Ariana Grande is seen taking a lie detector test in a highly-anticipated first look at the Meet The Fockers sequel, Focker In-Law.
The upcoming film will be the fourth instalment in the Meet The Parents franchise, which follows the antics of Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) as he tries to win over his father-in-law, retired CIA operative Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro).
The preview, released on Instagram on Tuesday, shows De Niro and Stiller reprising their roles while US pop star Grande joins the cast as a new character.
The teaser suggests that her character is being vetted to join the Focker family, with the lie detector test referencing the scene from the first Meet The Parents film in which Byrne grilled his future son-in-law.
The singer, 32, known for her chart-topping singles Problem, Thank U Next, and 7 Rings, is seen being hooked up to the polygraph test by intimidating patriarch Byrne.
Focker, played by Zoolander star Stiller, then makes an appearance in the trailer to acknowledge the lie detector test, and says: “Hello. Hey. The old machine.”
The preview provides little insight into the film as, while she is hooked up to the machine, Grande simply says: “Yes.”
Byrne then says: “You clearly know your stuff.”

The sneak peek, which features I Just Might by Bruno Mars in the background, ends abruptly and text on screen reveals that the full trailer will be released on Wednesday.
The role marks Grande’s latest acting gig since starring in the two-part film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical Wicked, alongside Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey.
Focker In-Law is to be released in November this year, marking the return of the Meet The Parents franchise after 16 years.
The first film in the franchise was released in 2000 and spawned two sequels: : Meet The Fockers (2004) and Little Fockers (2010).
