Óisín Players take to the stage

THE Óisín Players in Killeshin are about to tread the boards again! Their annual comedy production is a parish highlight, a guaranteed sell-out.
This year’s offering by Micheal J Ginnelly is directed by Ben Brennan and produced by Annette Monaghan. The play centres on a family that unexpectedly comes into money. Rather than being honest about their good fortune, they decide to conceal it. This decision sets off a chain of increasingly absurd lies and comedic situations.
The cast includes Micheal Brennan, Siobhan McDonald, Grace Powell, Shane Monaghan, Catriona Kirwin, Clem Fitzpatrick, Rory Brennan, Margurite Mullen, Amber Kirwan and Gordy Kirwan. The backstage crew are Caoimhe Henderson, Jenny Wohlgemuth, Jessie Bowles, Ciara Monaghan, James Hennessy, Jason Monaghan, Patricia Delaney, Camel Scully, Cathy Dowling, Claire Brennan and Majella Dowling. The play is on 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30 March in The Glenside lounge, Killeshin. Doors open at 7pm and the show begins at 8pm. Seating is on a first-come first-served basis and tickets are €10. The group’s charity donations this year will be given to Down Syndrome Ireland and Killeshin GAA.
