Carlow's Dannah O'Brien kicked six conversions as Ireland beat Japan 42-14 in their first game of the World Cup in Northampton today.
The out-half played with a confidence that led the Irish team and her tactical kicking from open play was top notch as well.
Amee-Leigh Costigan, Neve Jones, Béibhinn Parsons and Fiona Tuite scored first half tries for Scott Bemand's side, with O'Brien adding the extras for each of them.

Her accuracy off the tee continued into the second half and she kicked further conversions when Eve Higgins and Enya Breen touched down.
It's the ideal start for Ireland in Group C and sets them up nicely for their second game against Spain next Sunday back at the Franklin's Gardens in Northampton.
