County Carlow Football Club will host a special inclusive rugby event on Saturday 28 February, welcoming children, young people, adults, and families from across the region for a day centred on participation, teamwork, and enjoyment.
The event is hosted by the Bees, County Carlow Football Club’s all-inclusive rugby team, and will take place at County Carlow Football Club, Oakpark, Carlow. The event reflects the club’s wider commitment to ensuring rugby remains open, accessible, and inclusive at grassroots level.
Speaking ahead of the day, Aurlene Browne, President of County Carlow Football Club, said:
“This day is about far more than rugby. It is about belonging, confidence, and giving people of all ages the opportunity to feel part of a team. The Bees represent everything we want our club to stand for – inclusion, respect, and community – and we are very proud to host an event that celebrates those values.” The event is supported by Energia, Netwatch, and Leinster Rugby, whose continued backing plays a key role in supporting inclusive sport and community initiatives across the province.

Families, junior and senior players, and community members are encouraged to attend and support what promises to be a positive, welcoming event focused on fun, connection, and shared experience.
