Carlow's O'Brien to earn 30th international cap as Ireland and France collide in World Cup quarter-final

Carlow's Dannah O'Brien has once again been named from the start for Ireland as the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup reaches the quarter-final stage.
The Tullow fly half has been one of the stand-out players for Ireland in this tournament, with the hopes of the team resting on her young shoulders.
Still ten days shy of her 22nd birthday, O'Brien will earn her 30th cap this weekend.
Ireland finished second in Pool C thanks to wins over Japan and Spain before suffering a 40-0 hammering at the hands of the reigning World Champions, New Zealand.
Yet having failed to qualify at all for the 2021 World Cup, reaching the last eight is a monumental achievement in and of itself.
Ireland will take on Pool D winners France on Sunday in Sandy Park, home of former Champions Cup winners Exeter Chiefs.
The French come into the game as 23-point favourites with the bookies, although only one place separates the sides in the World Rankings, with France in 4th and Ireland 5th.
The game will be live on RTÉ at 1pm on Sunday, September 14.
