The world number two has beaten Joakim Lagergren on a playoff at the K Club.

It is McIlroy's 20th victory on the DP World Tour and his first win at the Irish Open since 2016.

Shane Lowry ended up in 15th place on 7-under-par with Tom McKibbin a shot further back.
