Mullins teams up with Keane for Curragh winner

That said, This Songisforyou drifted to 9/1 for the concluding Irish Stallion Farms EBF Northfields Handicap at the Curragh today on the seconds of the Irish Champions Festival weekend but the step back up to ten furlongs and good ground were pivotal, as Annette Mee’s gelding galloped away strongly to score by one and a half lengths from Indigo Five.

“It was great,” Mullins stated. 

“I actually thought he might need the run, he thrived so well since Galway. It was a last-minute declaration and thankfully it’s worked out. He’s been a great horse for us and very versatile.

“He’s still in the English Cambridgeshire in two weeks’ time and if it turned up nice ground he might go there. But he is ground dependent, he likes to rattle off nicer ground.”
