Search for a new Carlow GAA senior football manger continues

Hopes that a Carlow senior football manager would be appointed before the start of the football championships is unlikely to happen.
With the first round of games due to throw in this week, Peter McConnon, the Carlow GAA Head of Operations confirmed as much last week.
“There is an ongoing process there. A number of interviews have taken place. A number of other people have to be interviewed in the coming days. The process will take its course and once interviews are conducted and completed, hopefully, we will be able to make a decision which is good for Carlow and it will be the right decision,” he said.
Rumours have circulated over the last few weeks about who might be in the running for the position but McConnon was giving nothing away.
“We want somebody in place if not for the start of the championship but the latter end of it anyway,” he said.
