Rampant Rangers go goal crazy

Mount Leinster Rangers brought their old Myshall rivals down to earth with a resounding second round senior hurling championship win in Netwatch Cullen Park on Friday.
The week before Naomh Eoin had impressed when seeing off the challenge of Bagenalstown Gaels. It took only a minute for Rangers to all but clinch victory as Chris Nolan and Eddie Byrne scored a goal each. They upped the ante even further as Tim Brennan and Byrne raised white flags inside four minutes.
Naomh Eoin lived on scraps with Ciaran Abbey accounting for four points from placed balls. Rangers, thanks to another goal from Ted Joyce led 3-8 to 0-8 at the break.
Nolan and Byrne scored early second half goals and while Eoin Hosey, John Michael Nolan, Peter Abbey, James Smithers and Andy Jordan all got on the scoreboard for Naomh Eoin this was damage limitation.
Rangers completed a rout as Joe Dundon netted in the final minutes.
