Remember the name Odhran Doyle, the kid is going to be a star. He ran the show for Kildavin/Clonegal, scoring 1-5 in what was a rampant victory over Michael Davitts to claim the Division 1B trophy on Sunday morning. As the scoreline suggests, it was pretty comprehensive and Michael Davitts had no answer a lot of the time to Kildavin/Clonegal running through them. Credit must also go to Rhys Nolan who came off the bench Kildavin/Clonegal bossed the early stages. Odhran Doyle hit over an early point as a free was played into him and he got a shot away. Joe Kirwan added a point from the right before Donnacha Cosgrave got himself on the scoresheet. Five minutes in and Michael Davitts finally found a breakthrough as Joshua Walsh hit over a free from the right. Doyle hit over a quickfire couple of points from the left before James Byrne hit over a couple of points. With five minutes to go until half-time, Walsh rescued another point for Michael Davitts.

It was more of the same from Kildavin/Clonegal in the second half, and within the first five minutes, Cian Dunne and Doyle both hit efforts over. Three more points ensued, including two from Dunne. Midway though the half, Michael Davitts put a spanner in the works as Brendan Byrne found the back of the net for as he hit in a Joshua Walsh cross. However, their joy was short lived as Doyle found the back of the net for Kildavin/Clonegal. With ten minutes to go, Nolan who had just come off the bench hit in a second goal.
