"Disappointed that we didn't do ourselves justice," says Nolan

The Fighting Cocks manager, Garry Nolan, has been a breath of fresh air throughout the whole season.
From a Cocks point of view, he and his management team have got the best out of what is clearly a bunch of talented footballers. They say a good manager is one who has a good team and doesn’t muck it up.
Nolan certainly falls into this category. He has got the very best out of a bunch of ambitious players.
“I suppose we are proud of where we got to. We are only disappointed that we didn’t do ourselves justice. Some of the mistakes, it wouldn’t be like us. We are disappointed but it is great to be disappointed after a Leinster final,” he said.
Nolan is fully aware of the history of his club who have had their disappointing days too. He said it was good to play sides like Grangenolvin.
“We have had a lot of worse days than this but we have something to build off hopefully. We are trying to build a system in play. Mistakes happen. We might have been making mistakes during the year and were getting away with it. When you play teams as good as they are, they punish you.”
Nolan has galvanised this group. It was what he was aiming for at the start of the season. He urged his squad to give their all and this they most certainly did.
“It has been an amazing year. A lot of ups and downs. The hardest thing for us is at the start of the year when you are trying to get lads in. The most satisfying thing for me and getting to a Leinster final is great but we had 36 lads togged out there playing football for a small club. That is what it is all about,” said the Cocks manager.
