Carlow Hearing have been providing a unique, dedicated service in the heart of Carlow town for the last decade. A fully independent Irish company, owner Donal Keane has over 20 years’ experience in hearing aid audiology, providing the very latest and best in hearing aid design and technology.

Centrally located at Hanover House, the spacious, bright, modern clinic is fully wheelchair accessible and has its own customer car parking. Not only do Carlow Hearing have hearing devices to suit all types of hearing loss, since welcoming clinical audiologist Justine Rae to the team, they also have a whole suite of new services available.

Originally from Durban in South Africa, Justine has brought years of expertise to her new role as Donal’s business partner. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Audiology from the University of Cape Town and worked extensively in private care in her home country as well as here in Ireland. She also spent time with the NHS as a paediatric and adult audiologist. Justine has a particular interest in auditory processing disorder, school screening programmes and noise protection.

Providing the world's best hearing aids at affordable prices, the offering at Carlow Hearing includes a great range of advanced devices from the world's leading manufacturers Phonak, Unitron, Signia, Rexton, Oticon and Widex. There is something to suit all types of hearing loss and with a PRSI grant of one thousand euros available, the cost of hearing aid fittings to the customer is minimal. Not only is this grant renewable every four years, but fittings also come with a five-year warranty and as a registered panelist with the Department of Social Protection, Carlow Hearing will take care of all the admin work too, meaning the customer is never out of pocket.

In addition to diagnostic hearing assessments and fittings, Carlow Hearing now offer quick and gentle microsuction ear wax removal. Microsuction is a modern ear cleaning method that uses a medical-grade suction device and a microscope to gently remove the build-up of ear wax and debris. The clinic also offers both over the counter and customised noise protection, as well as the only dedicated walk-in service where customers can change filters and domes, purchase batteries and ask for expert advice.
