Speeding driver was trying to get takeaway home

Naas gardaí were quick to point out to the driver that fast food - does not equal a fast car
A speeding driver told gardaí he was trying to get his fast-food home from a takeaway when stopped.
This hungry driver will now find this was one expensive takeaway.
Gardaí were conducting a speed check in Co Kildare recently when they detected a car travelling 110kph in a 80kph zone at the Sallins bypass.
Kildare gardaí continued on their official Facebook page: ‘This driver informed gardai he was rushing home from the takeaway with fast food.
‘Naas RPU (roads policing unit) were quick to point out fast food - does not equal fast car. This motorist took away a fine of €160 and three penalty points.’
