PROGRESS on developing the Kelvin Grove site in Carlow town into a new centre for Holy Angels and an ambulance base for the county is continuing, the HSE has assured this week, but it will take time.
The proposed development of Kelvin Grove currently includes a new build for Holy Angels Day Care Centre and Children Disability Network Team (CDNT), as well as a new ambulance base for the National Ambulance Service, while a portion of the site has been identified for any future community nursing unit.
Cllr Fergal Browne, one of Carlow’s representatives on the HSE’s Southern Regional Health Forum, put forward a question to the HSE on progress of the Kelvin Grove development.
The HSE replied: 'Once the proposals have been agreed, an outline of the initial target dates will be circulated. These are expected to be confirmed later this year.’
