Trio accused of stealing €138k
Three men were accused over over €130k from Iarnród Éireann
THREE men accused of the theft of €138,063.04 from Iarnród Éireann were each served with a book of evidence when they came before Portlaoise District Court last week.
Garda Sergeant Jason Hughes served the books of evidence on eTioach of the accused - Ken Corcoran (52) from Barrow Vale, Graiguecullen, Carlow. Nigel Crosbie (48) from Nuenna Court, Freshford, Kilkenny and Eoin Shortt (49) from Saundersgrove Hill, Baltinglass, Wicklow.
Ken Corcoran is charged with 25 counts of stealing property, all money, amounting to €69,031.52 from Iarnród Éireann within the state between 20 December 2017 to 16 September 2019. Nigel Crosbie is charged with nine of the same offences totalling €24,735.01 on dates between 20 December 2017 to 13 September 2019. Eoin Shortt is charged with 11 counts of the same offences involving €44,296.51 on dates between 5 February 2018 to 16 September 2019.
Judge Susan Fay sent them forward to the present sitting of Portlaoise Circuit Criminal Court.
