MEMBERS of Tinryland ICA once again rolled up their sleeves to create all sorts of delicious goodies and support a very worthy cause in their community.
The guild held a hugely successful bake sale and raffle in Tinryland Parish Hall late last year, raising a fantastic €1,236.86 for St Clare’s Hospitality Kitchen.
“We supported the kitchen last year, then when we heard the appeal from Fr John that their funds were low, we wanted to support then again,” explained Julie Hoolan from Tinryland ICA.
“We made homemade cakes and tarts and people donated prizes for the raffle and some bits of bric-à-brac … everyone was so good, we were delighted to raise so much,” she added.
Tinryland ICA would also like to sincerely thank all in the community who supported their sale and in turn helped St Clare’s Hospitality Kitchen continue their great work.
“We were delighted to be able to support it, they look after so many people and people in our own locality, too,” said Julie.
