TINAHELY agricultural show has just been launched and it promises to be a celebration of farming and rural life.
Taking place on Monday 4 August at the showgrounds, Fairwood Park, Tinahely, a fantastic day out for the whole family is guaranteed.

The show brings together the very best in agricultural exhibitions, musical entertainment, competitions, craft displays and novelty events ‒ a vibrant blend of tradition and fun that has made it one of Ireland’s most popular agricultural shows.
“The show committee would like to thank all of our trade stands, local businesses, sponsors and our wonderful community of volunteers who have shown such unwavering support through the years. We are looking forward to welcoming them back in 2025,” said chairperson Margaret Healy. “The Tinahely show is a fun day out for the whole family, no matter what the weather, with attractions and entertainment galore for young and old alike.”

At the very heart of the show are the livestock and equestrian sections, which remain the show’s centrepiece. The competitions feature an array of cattle breeds and horse and pony classes, the FBD Belgian Blue finals, the Tirlán best of dairy and one of the fastest-growing areas, the sheep classes, highlighting the extraordinary diversity of sheep from across Wicklow, Carlow and beyond.
The Connolly’s Red Mills two-year-old All-Ireland gelding final takes pride of place.
This year will see the show’s first-ever jiving competition, with a massive €2,000 prize fund. Jiving and country dancing have enjoyed a huge resurgence in recent years, so get your dancing shoes on and practice those steps ahead of the big day.

From agricultural competitions and amusements to arts, crafts and a carnival fair, the show promises something for every age and interest. Highlights include a headline performance by country music star Jack Keogh and his band, live music from Stuart Moyles, Theresa and The Stars and Paddy Treacy, the hugely popular dog show, pets corner, pony games and dog agility displays.
A business marquee will house and showcase local start-ups and rural innovation following its successful 2024 debut.
Other attractions include local, national and championship livestock competitions, over 400 trade stands, arts and crafts, food marquee, display of vintage vehicles and a carnival.
