Talented young dad laid to rest

A MAN in his 20s who went missing last Wednesday, but whose body was tragically found within 48 hours was buried in Athy on Monday.

Richard Bracken from Churchtown was a 28 year old landscape gardener. 

"That was his passion, according to his father," said Senator Mark Wall, a neighbour of the Bracken family.

"They only live 500m from me,” he said. “It was very sad, the whole community is in shock. But the community rallied around the family, his dad mentioned this at the funeral, but it is very sad for all of them."

Richard is survived by his partner Clara, son Tadgh, loving parents Richard and Patricia, sisters Claire, Margaret and Elizabeth.
