Stunning snaps will be on view at annual photo exhibition

The exhibition opens tonight
DISTINCTIVE landscapes and wildlife along with familiar faces that form the lifeblood of the local community will come under the eye of the lens in a must-see exhibition.
‘Exposure 22’, the 22nd annual exhibition from Carlow Photographic Society (CPS), will take place again this year in Fairgreen Shopping Centre from Friday 30 May to Sunday 8 June. The event will be opened by CPS chairperson Eamonn Redmond on Friday 30 May at 7pm, where it will be officially launched by cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council, cllr Fergal Browne.
Their exhibition involves 32 photographers displaying more than 140 images of different genres, including landscape, portrait, seascape, wildlife and more.
There is also a really interesting section of images themed ‘Carlow at work’, with many familiar faces and lots of local interest.
CPS will also hold an information evening on Thursday 5 June at 6pm for prospective members in Fairgreen Shopping Centre. All who may be interested are encouraged to drop in. Contact the group at carlowphotographicsociety@gmail.com.
The images at Exposure 22 are for sale at €40 for a mounted print and, for the first time, CPS is offering a framing service this year, with framed images for sale at €65. They make a great present for Father’s Day or simply for yourself!
A donation from each sale will be given to CPS’s designated charity, St Clare’s Hospitality Kitchen.
Don’t miss this stunning exhibition of photography at Fairgreen Shopping Centre from Friday 30 May to Sunday 8 June.
