Recovery of stolen property in Carlow

GARDAÍ in Carlow recovered a significant amount of stolen property last week following the arrest of a man in his 20s on Wednesday 16 October.
Following a report from a member of the public that a man was spotted on his property, gardaí in Athy arrested and detained the suspect at Kildare Garda Station.
As part of the investigation process, gardaí at Carlow interviewed the man in connection with recent thefts and burglaries.

They carried out a number of searches in the Carlow area and uncovered some stolen property, including a trailer and a range of tools on Thursday 17 October.
The man was brought before Naas District Court that afternoon, where he was charged with a number of offences, including burglary, thefts and trespassing.
He was remanded to Cloverhill prison to appear again before Naas District Court on 24 October.
Superintendent Anthony Farrell complimented the detective branch in Carlow for their excellent work, adding that public assistance was paramount in this case.
