RECORD crowds flocked to Tinahely Agricultural Show, where they enjoyed a huge variety of events. The fun-filled family day continues to attract people of all ages, who enjoy the agricultural exhibitions, musical entertainment, competitions, craft display and novelty events.

On the entertainment front, as always, there was a full schedule of music and entertainment for all the family. This year featured the first-ever jiving competition, with a massive €2,000 prize fund. Country music lovers danced to Jack Keogh and his band, as well as live music from Stuart Moyles, Theresa and The Stars and Paddy Treacy.

Returning for its fourth year, the ‘best of Wicklow’ exhibition showcased what makes Co Wicklow exceptional. Wicklow Naturally presented a series of cookery demonstrations themed ‘Wicklow family food’, with celebrity chef Kenny Maguire, alongside a range of innovative trade stands and demonstrations throughout the day.

Places were fought for qualification in national show jumping and pony games competitions. Grannies, babies and would-be artists sought glory in talent competitions. Adults and juniors competed for prizes in competitions ranging from flower arranging, quilt-making, handwriting, crafts, photography and baking. Novelty and niche interests were catered for with everything from vintage car displays to sheaf tossing.

A variety of pets were displayed in the pet’s corner and the ever-popular dog agility display attracted great interest.

There were over 400 trade stands, featuring the return of Grassmen, O’Neill’s and many others.

The 2025 show continued to build on the success of the sustainability and accessibility initiatives that were introduced last year as part of the long-term goal to make the Tinahely Show the most inclusive event it can be for everyone in our community.

There really was something for everyone at this year’s show!
