A new injury clinic for Carlow

THE much-anticipated injuries unit for Carlow is progressing, assured a local TD. Deputy Jennifer Murnane O’Connor welcomed news that plans are now being progressed for a new local injuries unit, which will be based in St Dympna’s Hospital, Carlow.

“I have worked with the outgoing minister for health Stephen Donnelly, who visited Carlow on a number of occasions and stressed the need for a local injuries unit,” she said. “The unit will treat minor injuries, but it will also have an x-ray unit,” she added.

“I won’t be happy until the local injuries unit is up and running and I will continue to press for its timely delivery,” said the deputy.
