CARLOW FIRE and Rescue Service this week received three new Maxus 9 vans, which will support the vital work of the service throughout the county.

The vans were supplied by the Harris Group and fitted out for fire service use by HPMP, Tullow, to provide support vehicles for Carlow, Muinebheag and Tullow fire stations.

“The vans all have vehicle-mounted safety signs, which will provide advance warning to traffic approaching incidents and will be used to carry additional firefighters and equipment to emergencies,” said Ben Woodhouse, acting chief fire officer.
