Mayor praises work done for Entente Florale contest

MAYOR of Carlow Fintan Phelan told councillors at a recent municipal district meeting that the “town is looking magnificent” thanks to the dedicated efforts of the county council during the Entente Florale competition. Carlow will be awarded a gold, silver or bronze medal when the results are announced in September at a ceremony in Hungary. Judging took place earlier this month.

“I would like to thank all the teams who worked on this, as it is magnificent, from the hanging baskets to the rain water gardens, from the murals to the street cleaning. The town is looking marvellous,” said the Fianna Fáil councillor.
