Marathon pair run for Tiggy’s Trust

The late Tiggy Hancock
TIGGY’S Trust is a foundation that was set up in memory of Tiggy Hancock, a much-loved teenager who died in a fatal riding accident on 16 June 2021 at the age of just 15.
Tiggy was the adored daughter of Frank and Jane Hancock and sisters to Eliza and Lucy from Corries, Bagenalstown. Her family set up the foundation shortly after her death to raise funds for her fellow riders in the equestrian world.
It was established as a way of honouring Tiggy’s memory by spreading the kindness, generosity and inclusivity that was an integral part of her personality. The foundation strives to provide mental health programmes, training and education support to children in equestrian sports, along with supporting youth charities.
Two supporters, Emma and Mick Kelly, are running in the Dublin City Marathon on 27 October and have set up a GoFundMe page where they’ll donate all the funds raised to Tiggy’s Trust. To donate to Emma and Mick’s fundraiser, go to www.gofundme.com/f/tiggys-trust.
