Local band wins two wedding music awards

Kildare band wins two music awards at the annual Lets Talk Weddings awards 2024.
Vegas Trad, a five piece band primarily from Athy, won the Best Traditional Music 2024 award at Lets Talk Weddings award ceremony in Kildare, recently. One of Vegas Trad’s vocalists, Niamh Hogan also won the Best Ceremony Music award 2024.
Vegas Trad are a multi-instrumentalist folk, trad and ballad band. They cater mainly for the wedding market but perform at festivals and corporate events as well.
Brendan Conolly lead vocalist of Vegas Trad said: “We were absolutely delighted to win. There was a lot of really high calibre bands up against us.” Vegas Trad have been performing together since 2018, but some members of the band have been making music together for 25 years.
