Little Theatre returns to the stage with hilarious comedy

The cast of 'Noises Off'

CARLOW Little Theatre Society returns to the stage at Visual this month with Michael Frayn’s classic farce Noises Off.

This farce comedy about putting on a farce comedy follows the cast and crew of Otstar Productions, an assortment of egos, wits and big personalities, all with a love of drama as they tour the play Nothing On. The plot follow them in three stages: the final rehearsal before opening night, where things aren’t quite as together as they should be; a performance in the middle of the show’s run, where cracks are beginning to show; and a performance on the last leg of the tour, where the end can’t come quickly enough!

Brimming with slapstick comedy, Noises Off is an hilarious backstage farce, complete with slamming doors, falling trousers and, of course, flying sardines!

Noises Off is directed by veteran actor and director Paddy Behan and is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd on behalf of Samuel French Ltd.

The cast includes Jo O’Donovan as Dotty Otley; Paul Dunne is Lloyd Dallas; Keith Whelan as Garry Lejeune; Brooke Ashton is Shannon O’Doherty; Aisling Ní Alluráin as Poppy Norton-Taylor; Jamie Dockery plays Frederick Fellowes; Audrey Cooper as Belinda Blair; Richard Duffy takes on the role of Tim Allgood; and Paul McManus plays Selsdon Mowbray.

Tickets (€22/€24) are available from the Visual box office on 059 917 2400.
