Leighlinbridge shop celebrates opening with a family fun day

Brennan's Mace in Leighlinbridge is holding an open day

LOCAL shop Mace in Leighlinbridge will celebrate the launch of its brand-new store on Saturday 20 July and is inviting the whole community to a family fun day.

The event is scheduled to take place at the shop on Main Street, Leighlinbridge from 10am to 2pm and there will be plenty to keep people entertained, with face painting, a magician, DJ, food tastings, a barbecue and raffles throughout the day.

Retailers Richard and Geraldine Brennan will also have a very special guest – Sheila from the Mace ads – joining the celebrations. Later that evening, you can visit the family-run pub Teach Uí Bhraonain for live music and food. This new community shop opened at the end of 2023 and includes a Bewley’s coffee station, ice cream, grocery, the Mace Right Options range and a full off-licence.

“Our new Mace Leighlinbridge store is focused on providing great service to our community in Carlow. We would like to thank our customers for their tremendous support since opening and are thrilled to welcome everyone to our event on 20 July,” said Richard and Geraldine.

Wishing the team continued success, Keith Crawford, Mace sales director, said: “The new Mace Leighlinbridge store is a fantastic addition to the local Carlow community and a credit to the family and staff who have put in great work to provide their customers with great value.”
