Annette Maher, colour tech finalist in top industry awards

A CARLOW hair expert has been shortlisted for a top industry accolade.

Annette Maher has secured a coveted spot on the shortlist for the esteemed colour technician of the year at the Professional Beauty & Hairdressers Journal Ireland Beauty, Hair & Spa Awards 2024. Now in its third year, the awards honour creativity, business acumen and achievements within the beauty, hair and spa sectors across Ireland. With 14 categories – including Irish Hairdresser of the Year, Beauty Salon of the Year and Business Director of the Year – the awards recognise individuals and teams who are not only making an impact on their own businesses but also influencing the wider industry. Organised by the team behind the British Hairdressing Awards, World Spa & Wellness Awards and Professional Beauty Awards, entries were judged independently by leading experts in beauty, spa and hairdressing.

Acknowledging her “wonderful clients”, Annette said: “I love colour, so I’m absolutely delighted to be a finalist for colour technician of the year. Thank you for trusting me with your hair.” Mark Moloney, managing director of the awards, said: "We are delighted to see Annette Maher recognised as a finalist. Their commitment to innovation and quality is truly impressive and they stand as a shining example of excellence within the industry. We’re proud to have them as part of this year’s exceptional group of finalists."

Annette will now join the other finalists at a glittering awards ceremony on Sunday 10 November, at the prestigious InterContinental Hotel in Dublin. The event, featuring a drinks reception, three-course meal, awards ceremony and after-party, promises to celebrate the hard work and dedication of industry professionals and teams that contribute €2.79 billion to the Irish economy and support almost 50,000 jobs directly and indirectly.
