The late Darren Quigley

Gardaí in Carlow are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying three teenagers, who were in the vicinity of where Darren Quigley was killed last week.

Darren died on Monday 21 October at approximately 11.30pm after he was fatally stabbed four times at Market View, New Oak estate, Carlow town.

While two people have been charged in connection with the incident, including one with murder, the garda investigation is ongoing.

To this end, they want to identify and interview three teenagers – two girls and a boy – who they believe were close to where the incident happened.

Supt Anthony Farrell is keen to stress that the gardaí want to talk to the three young people as witnesses and not as suspects.

If you know who these people are or, indeed, if you are one of the people that gardaí want to identify and talk to, contact Carlow Garda Station on 059 9136620.
