Gardaí rescue person from River Barrow
River Barrow in Athy
Brave gardaí from Athy rescued a person from the River Barrow yesterday (Saturday). Gardaí were alerted to a person in the river and when they arrived witnessed a person in difficulty in the river, according to An Garda Siochána Kildare Facebook page.
‘One garda entered the water and with the assistance of his colleague, they brought the person to shore. The rescued person was brought to Naas hospital for medical attention.
