Funeral industry training centre proposed for Carlow

A new facility to provide funeral industry training classes has been proposed for Carlow.
Mortuary Science Ireland Ltd, who are based in Athy, have lodged a planning application for a single-storey building to provide funeral industry training classes at Burke McDermott Funeral Home on Railway Road at Rathnapish.
The proposed building will be ancillary to the existing funeral home and the proposed operating hours are 10.30 am to 7.30 pm, Monday to Friday A decision is due by Carlow planners by 6 September. Submissions can be made by 16 August.
