Enhanced train service for Carlow commuters

CARLOW commuters can look forward to enhanced services as a new train timetable comes into effect from next Monday, 26 August. 

There will be an extension of the Waterford to Heuston Station route. The 8.15pm Heuston/Carlow, Monday to Saturday evening service, will depart at the later time of 8.20pm and continue from Carlow to Waterford, serving stations along the route. 

The 9.37pm Monday to Saturday evening service from Carlow to Heuston will now depart from Waterford at 8.20pm. There will also be an additional service each way on Sundays.

Forty-one new carriages are also being added to the route on a phased basis between now and October, increasing capacity.
