Sylvester (Syl) McDonald Crossneen

Carlow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on August 29th, 2024, at the Hermitage Clinic, Dublin.

Beloved brother of Mary and the late Ann and Eileen and cherished son of the late John and Annie McDonald He will be sadly missed by his loving sister, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, good neighbours and friends.

May Syl Rest In Peace Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Graiguecullen, Carlow (Eircode R93 ET80) from 4pm on Sunday, September 1st, with removal that evening at 7.15pm to St. Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen arriving for Prayers at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11am, followed by Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.

Betty Doyle (née Treacy) 

No. 1 School Road, Clonmore, Hacketstown, Co. Carlow – 28th August 2024 peacefully at Carnew Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family; predeceased by her daughters Marie and Sinead and brothers Jack and Eamonn. Sadly missed by her husband Seamus, son Jamie, daughter Vanessa, daughter-in-law Laura, sons-in-law Mick and Ciaran, sisters Joan and Marjorie, brothers PJ and Jim, grandchildren Gavin, Dillon, William, Millie and Jade, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.

May Betty Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Halligan’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Rathvilly (Eircode R93 C560) on Friday from 5 o’c concluding at 8 o’c. Funeral arriving to The Church of Our Lady of The Wayside, Clonmore on Saturday for 3 o’c Requiem Mass after which she will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.

Betty's Funeral Mass will be recorded, the link for which will be posted at 8 o'c approx.

Matthew Lazarian, (Matt)Fenelon 

Tooreenbrien, Newport, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Knockdrumagh, Myshall, Carlow and Cabra Road, Thurles, former butcher at Cabra Road, Thurles, passed away peacefully at his home in the loving care of his devoted wife Maureen on August 28th 2024. Predeceased by his infant daughter Baby Mary Johanna, his parents, sisters and brothers.

Matt will be sadly missed by his loving wife Maureen, only niece and cherished god daughter Orlaith (Brennan) Carlow, brothers in law Peter Brennan, and Denis and Maurice O’Connor, his close and loving cousins, many dear friends especially in his beloved Thurles, and wonderful kind neighbours.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at his home (V94 R2W4) Tooreenbrien on Saturday August 31st from 3.30 to 7.30 p.m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Matt at the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer Newport on Sunday September 1st at 11.30 a.m. which can be viewed on www.churchcamlive.ie/newport followed by burial in Rockvale Cemetery Newport. No flowers please.
