EGG and spoon races, the sack race, mini-basketball and giant inflatable slides were just some of the many activities that took place when the residents of Carrigbrook in Carlow town organised a fantastic family fun day in their estate.

With the support of Carlow Community Development Partnership along with Martina Walsh, the Healthy Carlow Co-ordinator, and Laura Kelly, a community development officer, the residents’ committee organised the action-packed day.

Plents of activities were aimed at children, teenagers and adults so no-one was left out of the fun. There was also pizza, crisps, sweets and refreshments to keep everyone going throughout the afternoon, with more than 30 children and their families taking part.

Adetula and members of the committee have some great plans for their estate, including procuring play equipment for the green area and to enhance the area with shrubs and flower beds.
