Carlow takes gold in the Entente Florale

It was a glittering night for the town last night as Carlow scooped a gold medal at the Entente Florale Europe Awards in Hungary.
Carlow Town was awarded a gold medal, the President’s Award and the Special Characteristic Prize in the international competition, a huge testament to all the hard work and vision of all the organisations and volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make it happen.
The Entente Florale judges were in Carlow on 12 July last and enjoyed a tour of the town, visiting a number of locations including St Mary’s Church Haymarket, Carlow Fire Station, Linear Park/Carlow Bus Park, Hanover Park, Carlow Town Park, Carlow College, Visual, St Laserian’s NS and Delta Sensory Gardens.
