MORE than 150 enthusiastic attendees gathered for a Mastering Entrepreneurship event hosted by the local authorities of Carlow and Kilkenny in the Arboretum Home and Garden Centre in Leighlinbridge earlier this month.

A part of the 'Final Management Development' series with Blaise Brosnan, it was designed to ignite entrepreneurial passion and ambition among alumni members of the management development programme, providing an opportunity to learn from and connect with like-minded individuals.

The huge crowd in attendance was a testament to Mr Brosnan’s significant contributions to Carlow and Kilkenny businesses over the past two decades.

David Walsh of Netwatch and Halocare remarked: “It was an honour to be part of the tribute to Blaise in the beautiful Arboretum. Blaise’s contribution to Carlow and Kilkenny businesses over the past two decades has left a great legacy.

"Personally, he was incredibly valuable on my entrepreneurial journey, helping me to navigate challenges, offering new perspectives and providing insights that helped to accelerate my personal and professional goals.”

Blaise himself said that seeing so many driven entrepreneurs come together reaffirmed his belief in the power of community and collaboration.

“It’s through events like these that we can continue to foster a strong entrepreneurial spirit in Carlow and Kilkenny,” he added.

Kieran Comerford, head of economic development and enterprise with Carlow County Council, stressed the importance of having mentors who offer wisdom and guidance.

“Local Enterprise Offices play a strategic role in business development by providing access to experienced mentors. This support is essential for navigating challenges, seizing opportunities and fostering long-term growth and success,” he said.
