GARDAÍ are investigating a burglary that occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning on Browne Street in Carlow town. A lone male broke into a residential property at approximately 5.25am on 26 July, according to reports made to gardaí. The incident was captured on the homeowner’s CCTV system, although the perpetrator has not yet been identified.

The property owners reported that while the house seemed to have been searched, nothing appeared to have been taken during the break-in. The man left the premises after conducting the search.

No other burglaries were reported in the area on the same date.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the Browne Street area around 5.25am on Saturday morning to come forward with information that may assist with their investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Carlow Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line.
