Aggravated burglary at business premises in Tullow

TWO residents living above a shop in Tullow had a terrifying experience when an intruder broke into the premises. The aggravated burglary took place on Thursday 29 August at Market Square.

The break-in occurred between 3.15am and 3.22am, when the front window of the shop was broken by the offender and entry was gained.

The offender was disturbed by people who live above the premises, with one of the residents being knocked to the ground by the suspect.

The suspect fled the scene, but nothing was taken due to the intruder being disturbed.
