Sources said the woman had suffered catastrophic head injuries and that she was fighting for life in hospital.

David McCann (49) pleaded guilty to careless driving causing the death of Ann Watters (née McGlynn) in Ringsend, Dublin 4, on April 20th, 2024.

Detectives have appealed for information following the incident.
