Calls to preserve St Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre have grown as objections mount against the €100 million redevelopment plan in the heart of Dublin.

The owners of the centre have lodged the revised plans with Dublin City Council after An Coimiúsin Pleanála refused planning permission for their €100 million revamp.

This follows An Coimisiún Pleanála (ACP) refusing planning permission to contentious plans for the €100m redevelopment of St Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre in Dublin.

The planner’s report acknowledged that the existing shopping centre is a local landmark, but this was not due to the quality of its architecture
