Police have named the man killed in a crash early on Saturday as 24-year-old Jamie Mitchell from the Portrush area.

The man died at the scene in the Dunhill Road area.

The incident occurred in Coleraine in the early hours of Monday morning.

Northern Ireland’s police chief said ‘bigots and racists’ behind earlier nights of unrest in the region would be arrested.

Forty-one officers have been injured in the unrest, which had resulted in 15 arrests by Thursday evening.

The three, aged 15, 17 and 18, are set to appear before Ballymena Magistrates’ Court later.

The victim remained in a critical condition in hospital on Sunday evening.
