British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the Gold Digger rapper, who has used Nazi imagery and faced accusations of antisemitism, should never have been invited to headline the festival.

It comes after it was announced tickets for the festival were to go on sale after its promoter, Festival Republic, defended the planned performance, after calls for him to be barred from entering the UK because of previous antisemitism.

The musician – who has not performed in the UK since he headlined Glastonbury in 2015 – has drawn widespread criticism.

The rapper has drawn widespread criticism in recent years after he began voicing his admiration of Adolf Hitler, and made antisemitic remarks.
