No arrests have been made, and the house has been sealed off for a technical exam by Gardaí. 

The incident happened shortly before 2pm on Saturday on the R458 at Bunnahow, north of Crusheen.

The man, who was in his 80s, died following a crash in the Abbey Street area.

The people of Ireland will go to the polls on Friday to elect a successor to Michael D Higgins as president of the country.
