Internal records detail how multiple fake websites were in operation, with a new version appearing not long after the Road Safety Authority (RSA) issued a public warning.

It was part of an online fraud investigation into 200 Maltese nationals, resulting in losses of around €1 million.

The judge heard that €16,350, proceeds of a smishing or phishing scam was lodged into Darragh Sutcliffe's account in four fraudulent transactions
