Jixu Wang, 35, and his 34-year-old wife, Ye Wang, have been denied bail.

An address in Blackrock, Co Dublin, was searched on Tuesday and the pair were arrested at the scene.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.

Ayo Egbon (37), of Broomhill House, Swords Road, Dublin, was charged earlier under money laundering legislation and, as a condition of bail, barred from using "dating and matchmaking websites."

Chengwen Guo, 41, of Ivy Exchange, Parnell Street, Dublin 1, was arrested at his home on Wednesday following a three-year investigation by the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Gardaí made the seizure on Wednesday, when they arrested a man in his 50s.

It follows a probe by the Garda Special Detective Unit, which charged the six Uzbek and Irish nationals in September when the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) issued directions.

€1.12 million of cryptocurrency was seized along with €30,000 of other money.
