The teenager was arrested by officers in Carrick-on-Suir early on Wednesday. He was taken to Clonmel Garda station for questioning.

Ian Walsh was found dead at his home in Carrick-on-Suir on August 4th.

A post-mortem examination was completed on his remains on Wednesday and as a result of the state pathologist’s findings, gardaí in Clonmel have now confirmed that their investigation has been upgraded to murder.
