The former co-chief executive of Social Justice Ireland died on Saturday night, the organisation said.

Mr Hanly was known for his long career presenting Morning Ireland as well as his television interviews with writers and poets on Hanly’s People.

The man has been named locally as Colm Lynch O’Sullivan (22) of Cloncourse, Ballaghmore, Laois. He was originally from Roscrea in Co Tipperary.

Jack O’Donoghue, (33), Askeaton, Co Limerick, died when his motorcycle left the N69 at Cloonreask, Askeaton, shortly before 8pm, Wednesday.
